Privacy Policy
Effective October 21, 2026
This policy explains how Honest Marketing Co., Ltd. ((주)어니스트마케팅) ("Saleringo", "we", "us") handles personal information when you use Saleringo workspaces created on saleringo.com, and when callers speak with an assistant that one of our customers has set up.
In short: we use your information to run the Service, we do not sell it, and by default we do not record call audio — we keep the text of conversations and summaries. A business can choose to turn on call recording; see "What we collect" below.
1. Who is responsible
- For account and billing information of the people who sign up for Saleringo (the "account holder"), Saleringo decides why and how it is used and is responsible for it.
- For information about a business's callers, customers and conversations, the business that set up the assistant decides why and how it is used. Saleringo processes that information on the business's behalf as its service provider (processor).
- If you are a caller or customer of a business that uses Saleringo, please contact that business first about your information. We will help them respond.
2. What we collect
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Business name, your name, email address, country and time zone, password (stored as a salted hash by our authentication provider), team members you invite | You |
| Workspace content | Knowledge base entries, greeting, rules, transfer number, notification settings | You |
| Call and conversation data | The caller's phone number, date, time and duration of the call, the text of the conversation (transcript), a short summary, and details a caller chooses to give, such as a name, number or email address | Callers, our telephony provider, the AI processing |
| Customer records | Contacts, notes and callback requests that the assistant or your team create | The assistant, you |
| Billing | Plan, invoices, payment status, Stripe customer reference. Card details are entered with Stripe and are not stored by us | You, Stripe |
| Usage and technical | Log-in times, IP address, browser and device type, error logs, call minutes used | Automatically |
| Communications | Messages you send to support and our replies | You |
By default we do not store audio recordings of calls. Call audio is streamed in real time to the AI providers that understand and answer the caller; the text of the conversation is what we keep. A business that uses the Service can choose to turn on optional call recording. If it does, every recorded call begins with a spoken notice to the caller, the audio is recorded and stored by our telephony provider (Twilio, United States) for a limited period (30 days by default) and then deleted automatically, and only people in that business's workspace can listen to it. The business, not Saleringo, decides whether to record and is responsible for the notices and consents that the law requires.
3. How we use information
- To provide the Service: answer calls, show conversations, notify you of callbacks, keep your knowledge base and customer records.
- To operate billing: subscriptions, usage metering, invoices, tax and fraud prevention.
- To secure and maintain the Service: authentication, abuse detection, debugging, backups.
- To support you and to send service messages such as verification, billing and security notices, and notices about your phone number.
- To improve the Service, using aggregated or de-identified statistics. We do not use your workspace content to train AI models for other customers.
- To send product news and tips, only if you opted in. You can opt out at any time.
- To comply with law and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
4. AI processing
To understand and answer callers, we send call audio and conversation text, together with your knowledge base entries and instructions, to AI providers (listed in Section 6). We use their business API services and send data only to provide the Service. Each provider's own terms govern what it may do with data it receives; please review them if this is important to you. Summaries of conversations are generated by the same kind of providers.
AI output can be inaccurate. Conversations may be reviewed by you and your team in the dashboard.
6. Service providers (sub-processors)
| Provider | Purpose | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication and file storage (data hosted in the Seoul, South Korea region) | South Korea / United States |
| Vercel | Hosting of the web application and APIs | United States and global edge network |
| Naver Cloud | Voice server that connects phone calls to the AI | South Korea |
| Twilio | Phone numbers and telephone connectivity (call signalling and metadata); call recordings, only if a business turns on call recording | United States |
| xAI | Real-time voice AI for calls | United States |
| OpenAI | AI responses, conversation summaries and fallback voice AI | United States |
| Google (Gemini) | Fallback AI for responses and summaries | United States |
| Stripe | Payment processing and subscription billing | United States |
| Resend (with Amazon SES) | Transactional email | United States |
We may change providers as the Service evolves. We will update this list when we do.
7. Where information is processed
Saleringo is operated from the Republic of Korea. Your information is stored in South Korea and is also processed in the United States by the providers above. Whichever country you are in, this means your information is transferred across borders, and the laws there may differ from those where you live and may allow authorities to access it. We take steps to protect it, including encryption in transit and at rest and contracts with providers. By using the Service you understand and agree to these transfers; if you do not, please do not use it.
8. How long we keep information
- Account and workspace data: while your account is active, and for 30 days after the subscription ends so that you can export it or come back. We email you a reminder before then, and then delete it, normally within a week. When we delete a workspace we also delete your login, and delete or close your records with our payment and telephony providers, except what they must keep by law.
- Free-trial accounts that were never subscribed: if the account has not been used for 180 days (no sign-in and no activity from your customers), we email you a reminder 30 days before and then delete the account and its data.
- Sign-ups that are never confirmed by email: deleted 7 days after sign-up, together with the sign-up record.
- Call data (numbers, transcripts, summaries): kept as part of your workspace, and deleted with it. You can delete conversations and customer records in the dashboard.
- Call recordings (only if a business turns on call recording): deleted automatically 30 days after the call.
- Invoices and payment records: kept for the period required by tax and commerce laws (up to 5 years).
- Record of your agreement to our Terms and Privacy Policy (document version, time, email address and IP address): kept while your account exists and for 5 years after it is closed, so that we can show that you agreed. A record that never became part of an account (for example, an unfinished sign-up) is deleted after 30 days, and if you never confirm your email it is deleted with the sign-up.
- Security and access logs: kept for a limited period, generally between 3 and 12 months.
- Backups: overwritten on their normal cycle.
9. Security
We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls that separate each workspace's data from other customers', signed and expiring sessions, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and the authorities as required by law.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your personal information, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw consent. You can manage most of this in the dashboard, or contact us at the address in Section 14. We respond within 10 days of a verified request, and in any case within 30 days; if we need more time we will tell you why. You will not be treated differently for exercising these rights.
- If you are a caller or customer of a business using Saleringo, we may refer your request to that business, which controls your information.
- If you are in California, you have the rights described in the California Consumer Privacy Act. We act as a service provider for our customers' caller information, and we do not sell or share personal information.
- If you are in Canada or Japan, you may ask us about our handling of your information, including the cross-border transfers described in Section 7.
- You may also complain to your data protection authority. In South Korea, the Personal Information Protection Commission or the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA, 118, privacy.kisa.or.kr) can assist.
12. Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. Businesses that use the Service should not use it to collect information from children without any consent the law requires.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the dashboard before they take effect, and we will update the effective date above.
